Decuma is patented in the People's Republic of China and is fully certified with Chinese regulatory bodies governing software and input. Decuma's Patented Geometrical Invariant Technology (GIT) algorithm, which enables "fuzzy" matching in input to characters, enables it to recognize virtually any handwriting. The solution also supports all relevant characters sets including GB2312, Big 5 and HKSCS.

Real Personalization
Decuma Chinese enables personalization in three compelling ways:
- User-defined shortcuts to create shorthand for frequently used Chinese phrases
- Used Word Dictionary to track and promote frequently used Chinese characters or phrases as priority-ranked predictions
- Personal Dictionary to record the user's own Chinese phrases
Before UWD tracking the entire phrase  had to be written by hand.
