Three months ended September 30, 2007
- Zi Corporation's (the "Company" or "Zi") total revenues were $3.4 million for the three months.
- Zi earned revenues from 77 licenses compared to 65 in the same period a year earlier.
- The quarter was highlighted by important accomplishments and investments in the future, including:
- A revenue-generating license agreement for our innovative predictive text software, eZiText, with a major global printer manufacturer.
- Licensing of our predictive text technology, eZiText, to a student at the University of Massachusetts Lowell, who has invented a unique device for a man with cerebral palsy that enables quicker text input on his computer.
- The presentation of an award for excellence for the intuitive qualities of our Chinese text input systems at the 20th Annual China Mobile Market Development Event recently held in Beijing.
- A new licensing agreement for our innovative predictive text software, eZiText, with Taiwanese research and development leader Leadtek Research Inc; and
- Our innovative predictive text software with auto-correction, eZiType, is now integrated onto the recently launched ZTE D90 phone, which will be marketed exclusively by TELUS, a leading national telecommunications company in Canada.
- The net loss for the three months was $1.3 million, or a loss per share of $0.02, compared to a net loss of $2.7 million or a loss per share of $0.06 in 2006.
