Description
Reporting to the Senior Software Architect, this role located in Lund, Sweden, is responsible for the development of the Decuma handwriting recognition products for mobile devices.
The Decuma handwriting recognition product exists today in variants that support natural handwriting in the Latin, Cyrillic and Greek alphabet and for Chinese, Japanese, Korean as well as Arabic script languages. There are a total of 31 languages supported.
Responsibilities
Some responsibilities of this position include development of new language support in existing script recognition software. Optimizing and tuning script recognition software on performance. Implementing support for new script types (eg. Hebrew or Hindi). Adapting existing script recognition software to target platforms such as Symbian/Series 60.
Skills and Qualifications
- University degree in Computer Science or Computer Engineering with software specialty or similar
- At least 1 year hands on experience in software development as well as experience with the entire product development process
- Strong C programming skills
- Fluency in Swedish & English, both oral and written
- Experience with Symbian, PalmOS or Windows Mobile as well as configuration management with Clear Case, considered assets
