Zi Corporation
Files Patent Infringement Lawsuit
Zi Corporation (TSE:
ZIC; NASDAQ: ZICA) ("Zi") has filed a lawsuit for patent infringement
against Tegic Communications, Inc., a Seattle, Washington company.
This lawsuit was
filed in the United States District Court in Seattle, Washington
and states that Tegic and Tegic’s customers and licensees
infringe a patent owned by Zi.
This lawsuit is part
of an active ongoing process where Zi is protecting the integrity
of its intellectual property against unauthorized use and infringement.
Zi Corporation’s
corporate goal is to make modern electronic technology more
accessible to people in a way that is consistent with their
language and culture. By connecting technology to language,
Zi Corporation brings language processing to the mass market
for devices such as mobile phones, set-top boxes, computers
and other information appliances.
